No, Split airport is not being remodeled or expanded like the title suggest. Even though Split airport is the most important airport on the Adriatic with one million international passengers landing on it, there is still no need for expanding it.
What I am talking about is that in 2009 there will be 12 more airline companies landing on Split airport than there were in 2008. Last year there were 48 airline carriers landing on Resnik with 15 of them being low budget airline companies. Split airport is the first airport in Croatia that started doing business with low budget airline companies.
