Lying on a small peninsula surrounded by city walls and fortresses, Korčula is one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the Adriatic Coast. Korcula is entirely covered in pine forest so the Greeks named the island Korkyra Melaina, meaning “Black Korčula”. Famous traveler Marko Polo was born there or so many believe. We tour its charming streets to magnificent Cathedral of St Mark who is the city’s patron saint. There are a lot of squares with Renaissance palaces, town loggia which can be seen along the way. The excursion by boat will takes you to Korčula sailing along the island of Mljet and Elaphite islands.
National park
The island of Mljet is one of the most beautiful islands on the Adriatic Coast with two amazing salt-water lakes, peaceful bays and small fisherman villages. The western part of the island Mljet was proclaimed a national park in 1960. The pathway takes you through the dense pine forest leading to the Small Lake and the Great Lake where you can enjoy the air full of fragrances of the Mediterranean vegetation. Next you will take a boat ride over the Great Lake to the islet of St Mary for a visit to the magnificent Benedictine Abbey. The Benedictine Abbey was founded in the 12th century by Apulia Benedictines. It was a dwelling place to a number of prominent Benedictine writers and scientists through the centuries. Next you will enjoy in a leisure time when you can swim in the pristine waters of the lakes or stroll around.

ITINERARY:
– Departures from the hotels as scheduled.
07:30 – Transfer by hydrofoil from Bol to Korčula with short stop in
Makarska.
09:45 – Arrival in town of Korčula, old town sightseeing, free time.
12:30 – The cruise continues to Mljet at 12:30h. Half hour sail to the island of
Mljet, national park tour with the tour guide, short sail by boat to
the island of St. Mary, free time for swimming & walking.
17:30 – Return sail over towns of Korčula and Makarska to Bol.
20:00 – Arrival in Bol
