The 17th-century Theater (among the oldest ones in Europe), the Arsenal dating from the 13th – 14th century, its picturesque squares and streets, as well as the Franciscan Monastery – famous for its collection of valuable paintings of old masters, the best known among them being the ”Last Supper” by Ingoli, are only a part of sights worth seeing. Early in the afternoon we continue our hydrofoil sail up to the highest island in the Adriatic Sea – Brac, also the third largest Adriatic island, for a visit to a picturesque little town called Bol.

History and Culture Tour – Split & Trogir

Split-croatia-vacation (10) Split is situated in the middle of the Adriatic coast and is surrounded by historical towns and settlements.

We shall take a walk through the 4th-century Diocletian’s Palace and visit its ancient Cellars , Peristyle, Roman temples (today Christian ones), Cathedral and Baptistry, and then the famous Golden Gate. After enjoyable tour of Split downtown and free time for individual exploration we start our bus ride towards Trogir, a small town under the cultural protection of the UNESCO.

Same as with Krka Falls, Plitvice National Park is a must see destination in Croatia. Of many Croatian natural beauties, Plitvice Lakes are considered among most beautiful natural phenomena in the world. National park consist of 16 lakes that are all connected with 92 waterfalls cascading through picturesque surrounding. The park’s attractions also include numerous caves and different vegetation.
The Plitvice National Park was included on UNESCO’s List of Natural Heritage in 1979, 30 years after it was declared a National Park in Croatia.

Our full day excursion starts from the bus station near Villa Cezar (Kastela airport hotel) in Kastel Luksic. We can also arrange for the departure to start from any hotel or apartment in Split, Kastela or Trogir.

The bus takes you on a new highway “Dalmatina” with short coffee breaks and rest stops along the way. Arrival at Plitvice lakes is scheduled at around 10:30 AM. Once there, a trip through national park starts. Explore the beauties of beautiful Plitvice park by taking an organized walking tour and a boat ride.

Krka National Park – Excursion Croatia

Departure starts from the bus station near Villa Cezar (hotel Split airport) in Kastela Luksic. It can also be arranged for the departure to start from any hotel in Split, Kastela or “city monument” Trogir. The bus takes you, using coastal road, to city of Šibenik.

In Šibenik a guided tour of St. Jakob’s cathedral (one of Dalmatia’s most valuable religious monument built in 15th century) is organized followed by the one hour of free sightseeing or one hour of free time to relax and have a cup of coffee, it’s up to you. After that the bus continues to Krka falls National Park.
The first item on itinerary is the short boat ride to Skradinski Buk followed by sightseeing of Krka National Park. Free is till 4:30 PM when you can do Krka exploration on your own.
